Bests of android

Android has now been very popular because of its application support. So today I will show you the best applications I lived in android which made me buy it. It is really a superb phone and cheap also in comparison with iPhone.

How to click photos in android by commanding it to so

Yes now its possible to just click photos by just saying few words. At first you would think it as fake. But its true. I have written a similar post for iOS.
We won’t lie to you. We’re fond of collecting camera replacement apps. After testing countless such applications on the Android Market, we thought developers had run out of ideas. Well, we were wrong. Say hello to Say Cheese Camera for Android – a free yet comprehensive camera replacement app that, along with a plethora of other handy features, comes packed with the option to snap photos via voice recognition. Other noteworthy features include the option to toggle talk-back (voice confirmation), aStealth mode for capturing photos, a built-in gallery, batch uploading to Facebook and rainSlides – a Facebook app that lets you convert a group of photos into a slideshow. We delve into these and a few other components of the app after the break.

The app’s interface isn’t exactly one of its strengths. It’s user-friendly but not all that easy on the eyes. A slight improvement in its looks would be a welcome change.
The app provides you with four different ways to take photos.
  1. Normal: Tap the capture button (at the top-right corner of the main interface) and the app should display a preview of the captured image, allowing you to save, discard or share it.
  2. Quick Snap: Holding the same button down automatically saves the captured image to your device and skips the preview screen.
  3. Voice Recognition: Toggle Voice Recognition on by tapping the button at the bottom of the column on the left and say “cheese”, “smile” or “ready” to capture photos. The app also has a few other voice commands that allow zooming in / out and switching between the rear and front-facing camera. All commands are mentioned under Voice Control within the app’s settings screen. During our test-run, we had success with only the first three.
  4. Stealth Mode: Tap the third button from top on the left of the app’s settings screen to switch to Stealth Mode. The mode, as its name suggests, is meant to capture photos discreetly. In said mode, the talk-back (Voice Response) feature is temporarily disabled and all that the app displays on the screen is a barely visible toggle in the bottom-left corner. Tap it to exit Stealth Mode. To capture a photo, hold down anywhere on the screen and wait for you device to vibrate once (as the camera finishes focusing) and then a second time (when it captures and saves the photo).
Note: Capturing a photo in Stealth Mode causes your ringer volume to turn back on if muted. Apparently, the app mutes audio temporarily when you capture a photo and turns it back on regardless of its previous state.

Say Cheese Camera’s settings screen displays toggles for all major settings on the right and left side of the screen, with the settings menu in the middle. From within this menu, you can toggle auto-focus (Doc Scan), Auto-Save, timed capture (Timer), Stealth Mode, customize the talk-back (Voice Response Voice Pitch), choose Effects and set your hardware shutter button to launch the app (Hardware Launch).

Another interesting feature in the Camera Settings menu is the Torch option under Flash. Selecting said option causes the camera’s LED to remain on constantly while within the capture interface. This can prove to be particularly useful while taking pictures in darker environments.

As mentioned earlier, the app has a built-in gallery for viewing pictures and sharing them over the web. Tap to select multiple photos (for uploading or deletion) and hold down on any photo to view it. The gallery also allows you to link the app with your Facebook account and upload multiple photos to your account and rainSlides with a single tap.
Among the few additional and somewhat unique perks that the app sports is the option to turn the app into an augmented reality compass (tap on the accelerometer indicator in the main interface to do so) and sending captured photos to Google Goggles and other third-party apps from within the preview screen.

How to secretly click photos in iOS

Well you all must be excited by this post. This post is actually gonna tell you how you can click photos with the help of iOS secretly. By using this trick you will not get any notification about the picture that you are going to shoot. But please this should not be used for illegal purposes. But this trick can be very useful for just joking.

Cydia tweaks for Notification Center just won’t stop coming, and keep getting better. SlyCam is the latest addition to the collection of tweaks available for jailbroken iPhoneiPad and iPod touch devices runningiOS 5. However, rather than being an ordinary, slightly redundant widget, or a simple color changer, SlyCam is much more useful. The tweak allows you to quickly and discretely capture photos right from within the Notification Center. The tweak even sports a small window housing the camera’s viewfinder to help you get a better idea of what the camera is looking at without having to worry about prying eyes. Details to follow.
SlyCam SlyCam Closed
SlyCam is available for free in the ModMyi repo of the Cydia store. Once it is installed, you will have to enable it from within Settings > Notification Center. Once SlyCam has been toggled on, you will find a new widget in the Notification Center. The widget displays two buttons by default. If you point the camera at the target object, and hit the ‘+’ button, a photo will be taken of the scene in front of you, but no indication will be given to tell you that the pic has been snapped.
The second button (that is, the power button) displays the aforementioned preview window within the widget. The viewfinder is, however, quite small and will only give you a vague idea of the scene. In this mode too, you have to tap the ‘+’ button to snap a photo.
The photos taken using SlyCam are saved to the Camera Roll. The tweak can really come in handy if you want to take pictures quickly or secretly; there is little chance that someone will catch you by looking over your shoulder, especially if you aren’t using the viewfinder.

Guide for First-Time Android Users

Most of you must know what Android is. For those of you who don't, think of it as the competent younger brother of the Apple iPhone Operating System (OS). So what's different about it?
Well, the good thing about Android is that it has a wide(r) variety of facilities and is flexible enough for the everyday user. I, being an Android user myself, am quite well-versed with this OS.
Perhaps the most prominent aspect of the Android OS is the Widgets it offers. A Widget is an application which has a Graphical User Interface (GUI); it can be anything. From the simplest reminder to a complex sub-system in an OS, everything is a Widget.
Every device with an Android OS will definitely have direct or indirect access to the Android Market. This is the place where most of your widgets can be bought or downloaded for free. Of course, there are other free sources from where apps and widgets can be got, but the most reliable origin is the Market. But always be careful because the only and perhaps biggest weakness of the Android OS is that is is highly vulnerable to viruses. In case your phone or tablet has a widget with a virus, you must 'quarantine' that folder which means that it must not be opened or used for any purpose (other than deletion); otherwise, the virus gets transferred to the other folders with a greater storage capacity. Regular 'check-up' and 'disinfection' of the device is necessary because, once a problem is acquired, it sticks.
Widgets and Apps will be described in greater detail in the other posts.
